John Arne Riise: Was the former Liverpool player really on ITV gameshow The Chase?

No. John Arne Riise was not on The Chase on Thursday but it was a damn good look-a-like.

However, this did not stop some football fans taking to Twitter to speculate whether the former Liverpool player was making an appearance on the ITV gameshow, which is presented by Mike Bassett: England Manager star Bradley Walsh.

The real identity of the man who was on Thursday’s instalment of the show was Chris, a school teacher from Chester.

But that didn’t stop some fans from speculating whether it was in fact Riise, who won the Champions League with the Reds in 2005 and is also Norway’s most capped footballer.
