Giuseppe Rossi: Tottenham reportedly approach free agent with pay-as-you-play offer as he trains with Manchester United

Tottenham have made contact with Giuseppe Rossi over a move to north London, according to reports.

Rossi, the former Italy international, is currently in England as he trains with Manchester United in a bid to build up his fitness to earn a move to a new club.

The 31-year-old, who spent three years at Old Trafford as a youngster, is currently a free agent having left Genoa at the end of last season.

Rossi’s career has also taken in spells at Parma, Villarreal, Fiorentina, Levante and Celta Vigo, though he is primarily known for his dreadful luck with injuries that have prevented him from fulfilling his potential.

Nonetheless, he remains on the lookout for the next opportunity – and it could come in the Premier League.

A report in Tuttosport, as translated by Sport Witness, claims Rossi has been approached by Tottenham on Thursday with the view of him joining Spurs on a pay-as-you-play deal as the club look to solve their selection crisis.
