FIFA panel says Iran's ban on women fans violates ethics code

Women in Iran have been prohibited from attending male sporting events since 1981, although some progress has been made of late. Global football body FIFA has been urged by its own human rights advisory panel to give Iran a deadline for allowing women to watch football matches.
