Fulham and Watford are set to go head-to-head for AC Milan defender Mateo Musacchio in January, according to reports in Italy.
The 28-year-old hardly featured in the San Siro giants’ previous campaign, however with new signing Mattia Caldara taking time to settle in, the Argentine has made seven appearances so far this season.

Fulham were tracking Musacchio over the summer, while Watford have also emerged as strong contenders to snap the defender up during the mid-season window.
And, despite featuring in seven of their eight league matches so far this term, Milan are reportedly willing to let Musacchio discuss a move to the Premier League in January, according to Calciomercato.
Milan boss Gennaro Gattuso is set to hold talks with the former Villarreal defender before January and could well let him leave if the Italian giants can draft in a suitable replacement.
